Where can I get CDA certification in Florida?
Panhandle Pathways Teacher Training Center offers instructor-led CDA training for educators across the Florida Panhandle. Every track is taught in person over a Friday to Sunday weekend, with instructor-supported online components in between, plus portfolio and practicum guidance. The meeting location for each cohort is listed beside its date on our booking calendar.
What should I look for in a CDA training program in Florida?
Look for a program that is instructor-led, keeps class sizes small, and carries you through the portfolio and practicum rather than the coursework alone. Panhandle Pathways does all three: live weekend sessions with capped seats, monthly one-on-one instructor check-ins, and documentation guidance built around Florida requirements.
Which CDA tracks do you offer?
We offer three CDA tracks: Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and Birth-5. All three are instructor-led and include portfolio development and practicum guidance. Home-based providers can take our Family Childcare Home CDA instead, which is built for mixed-age groups in a home setting. Every course runs on weekends so working educators stay in their classrooms.
Which CDA track is right for me?
Choose Infant/Toddler if you work with children from birth to 36 months, or Preschool if you work with three to five year olds. Birth-5 is the comprehensive track covering every age group. Home-based providers caring for mixed ages should look at the Family Childcare Home CDA. Call or email us if you are unsure.
Who is Panhandle Pathways Teacher Training Center?
Panhandle Pathways Teacher Training Center is a local Florida academy created for early childhood professionals by early childhood professionals. We are working educators who understand Florida compliance, staffing pressure, and what a real classroom day looks like. We provide instructor-led CDA training and ongoing professional development across the Panhandle.

Is the training instructor-led or self-paced?
All Panhandle Pathways training is instructor-led. We do not offer self-paced courses. Weekend sessions are taught live and in person, and the online components between weekends are instructor-supported rather than left to you alone. You also get monthly one-on-one check-ins with your instructor and personalized, actionable feedback.
When is the next class?
Upcoming dates are published on our booking calendar, which shows every scheduled session with its start and end time, its location, and how many seats are left. CDA cohorts meet Friday through Sunday. If nothing listed works for you, call or email us and we will tell you what is coming next.
How does the Friday to Sunday cohort schedule work?
CDA cohorts meet in person across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which keeps you in your classroom during the week. Between weekends you continue with instructor-supported online components and monthly one-on-one check-ins. The weekend format exists specifically so working educators can earn a credential without taking time off the job.
Is any of the training online?
Some components are online, but none of them are self-paced. Live classes are held in person on the weekend, and the online work in between is supported by your instructor with live touchpoints. You always have a real person to ask, which is the part most online childcare training leaves out.

Do you offer childcare professional development courses near me?
If you teach in the Florida Panhandle, yes. Panhandle Pathways runs local in-person professional development for early childhood educators: symposiums, seminars, and sessions as two and four hour workshops, plus hands-on Make and Take classes. What is the difference between a symposium, a seminar, and a session?
All three are two or four hour workshops with different shapes. Symposiums are topic-based and feature multiple speakers giving diverse perspectives. Seminars use research-based instructional strategies aimed at one specialized outcome. Sessions dig into a single topic through hands-on activities and full participation, so you leave with something you can use immediately.
What happens at a Make and Take session?
A Make and Take is a hands-on workshop where you build real classroom materials while an instructor guides each step. Everything you make is yours to take back to your room. Projects are matched to the age group you teach, and the materials list is shared in advance so nothing catches you out.

How much does CDA training cost?
Current pricing is shown on the booking page beside each session you select, and your total is confirmed at checkout before any payment is taken. Prices differ between the CDA tracks and the shorter workshops. If you want a written quote for yourself or for a group of teachers, contact us and we will send one.
How do I register for a class?
Choose your training on the booking page, pick a date from the calendar, set how many seats you need, then add it to your cart and check out by card. You will need an account, so create one first if you do not have it yet. Your seat is confirmed once payment goes through.
Is there a deadline for registering?
Some sessions must be booked a set number of days ahead, and some add a late fee when you register close to the start date. If either applies to the date you picked, the booking page says so and the fee appears in your total before you pay. Registration closes once a session starts or fills.
Certification and credentialing

Do I get a certificate when I finish?
Yes. You receive a certificate at the completion of the program, and we can email a digital copy directly to you. Keep it with your personnel file so it is on hand whenever your center needs proof of completed training. If you misplace your copy, contact us and we can send it again.
Does your program award the CDA credential itself?
Our program is the training and preparation side of the CDA. You complete instructor-led coursework, build your portfolio, and finish your practicum with guidance, then receive a certificate from Panhandle Pathways. The national CDA credential itself is awarded through the separate CDA application process. Contact us and we will walk you through the steps.
What if I do not have enough hours working with children?
We help with that. Our program includes help obtaining the 480 hours of work with children through volunteering and job opportunities, so a shortage of hours does not have to stop you from starting. Tell us where you are now and we will build an individualized plan toward completion with you.
What help do I get with my CDA portfolio?
Portfolio development is built into every CDA track. You get structured guidance on assembling the portfolio, classroom observation guidance, monthly one-on-one instructor check-ins with specific feedback, and compliance-ready documentation shaped around Florida requirements. Nobody hands you a checklist and leaves you to work it out alone.

Can I register several teachers from my center at once?
Yes. Organizations can register multiple teachers, send invites to staff by email, and manage certifications from one dashboard. You can also buy more than one seat for the same session at checkout. Contact us with your team size and we will help you get the right people into the right tracks.
What can a director do from the organization dashboard?
Directors and organization admins can invite staff by email, see everyone who belongs to the organization, set roles, promote another admin, and remove someone who has left. The dashboard is also where your team reaches learning links and manages certifications, so training records for the whole center stay in one place.
Can you bring a training to our center?
Yes. We offer private group sessions for teams of five or more, run for your staff rather than as a public class. Contact us with your team size, the topic you want covered, and the dates you are considering, and we will work the details out with you.

Where are classes held?
Classes are held in person in the Florida Panhandle. The location for each session appears with its date on the booking calendar and again when you confirm your booking. Locations can differ from one session to the next, so check the one attached to the date you chose, and call us if you need directions.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a notebook, a laptop, a can-do attitude, and anything your instructor asks for ahead of the session. Hands-on workshops come with a materials list in advance. If a session needs anything out of the ordinary, we tell you before the date, so nothing is a surprise when you walk in.
